My name is Emer, and I am a 46 year old mother to 3 boys ages 19, 15 and 12.
I began my nursing career in 1993 aged 17. Over the years I have gained a vast amount of experience in various clinical areas, my favourite being palliative and end-of-life care.
I have always had a love for complementary therapies, and I was fascinated when I saw the calmness that it brought to people.
I started my journey by attending a diploma in Aromatherapy course and I was hooked. Learning took on a new meaning for me. I was amazed with the effects that the essential oils could have on a person and how we have the ability to rebalance our bodies through the use of them. It was suddenly like a new world had opened up.
Straight after getting my diploma in aromatherapy, I commenced a diploma in Reflexology. I realised now I could really help people to help themselves make changes to their health and wellbeing.
My small business is called ‘Smelly Feet’ Aromatherapy and Reflexology. I launched Smelly Feet in November 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic.
I specialise in aromatherapy and reflexology for clients during cancer treatment, for clients living with cancer, for clients during their journey of fertility and pregnancy. I am a qualified trainer for parents wanting to learn how to use reflexology at home with their children. I provide treatments in my clinic or in the clients home. I offer aromatherapy consultations, hand and foot reflexology, rejuvenating facial reflexology, Hopi ear candling and Indian head massage.
I make essential oil blends, balms and creams which I sell at local craft markets.
